Forest Retreat Lodge - is a traditionally built but upside down style house with one double bedroom with an en-suite, and one king sized (which can be converted into two singles), as well as a separate accessible bathroom. It is a Swiss chalet style design (cool downstairs in the Summer) with central heating and having the main large living area on the first floor with a large balcony to make the most of the fantastic forest views. The Lodge is available 12 months a year and an ideal for any one to have a change of scenery. We have complimentary WiFi and we have a large private parking area to the rear and a side garden ideal for the odd BBQ or Sunbathing .
The outside communal pool should be available from June to September and is complimentary when open with you booking. ( the pool is not managed by the property owner who cannot guarantee availability).
This is a dog friendly Lodge by agreement on booking.

The location is surrounded by woodland walks leading down to the River Taw and is an ideal base to explore North Devon. A short drive takes you to some beautiful sandy beaches including Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe , or on to the picturesque Exmoor National Park . There is picturesque cycling along the Tarka Trail or visit the quaint fishing ports of Appledore & Clovelly.
