The Government, has taken some practical steps to try and support the private rented sector, and to allow landlords to find new tenants and maintain their rental incomes. After saying that these are unprecedented times, and it is clear that the government will expect landlords to adhere to wider directives such as restricted movement advice during times of lock down.

As soon as travel restrictions are lifted we will be happy to resume our full service including tenant referencing and tenancy agreement creation.

However we currently are still happy to advertise your property and send leads to you for £65 plus vat, and we will help you with tips and advice on how to proceed.

• Learn how to Facetime a potential tenant via your mobile phone, so you can walk them round your property showing them via the phone camera the property interior and you can answer any queries they may have:

Step 4 – Right To Rent Relaxed

• The government again is allowing landlords to check passports and documents by mobile phone
• Photo of documents sent via mobile phone
• Use Google Duo to video call potential tenants so you can identify them against the photo showed on their passport / driving licence or other documents.

Step 6 - Tenancy Agreement Sign Up 

• Landlord Direct will carry out a credit check
• As soon as Travel Restrictions are lifted, Landlord Direct can arrange for your new tenants to be signed up on a tenancy agreement.

Step 5 - Moving In  

• The government has made it clear that we are now in lock down, and no members of the public should leave their homes unless absolutely essential and now state:
